BAD BREATH & REMEDIES
Bad
breath medically called Halitosis has such a turn off for ages and it can
result from poor dental health. Foods you eat can also cause bad breath which
includes unhealthy lifestyle.

Causes of bad breath:
1.
A dirty mouth: Bad breath (mouth odor) is like
any other body odor. This is as a result of microbes living in the mouth giving
off byproducts.
2.
Mouth out of balance: Dry mouth is a common cause
of bad breath. Saliva helps the mouth prevent bacteria staying in a spot to
avoid multiplying. Mouth disease can also cause bad breath.
3.
Food: Foods like onions, garlic, alcohol and tobacco
results offensive odor after consumption.
4.
Illness: Bad breath can be a sign of illness
such as diabetes or gastro esophageal reflux disease (GERD), liver or kidney
disease.

Remedies for bad breath:
1.
Keep your mouth clean and fresh: use breath
mints, gums or mouth wash. Brush your teeth twice daily and brush tongue
properly.
2.
Drink plenty of water (8 glasses daily)
3.
Watch what you eat to avoid foods with offensive
odor.
4.
Take vegetables like carrots, cabbage, eggplant
etc.
5.
Visit your doctor for checkup.
