Lost Battle...

     Dear Angela, the story continues...I finally met a business man Emeka who I started dating after Felicia's advice. It was a temptation I could not resist. Emeka was every woman's dream guy, he spoilt me. My feelings for Kevin was still alive but I played along with Emeka. After my graduation, Emeka proposed to me, it was a thing of joy but thoughts of Kevin clouded my mind, the promises we had made to each other. I accepted Emeka's proposal but was confused because I still missed my Kevin even if I had started to like Emeka. Six months after Emeka's proposal, Kevin returned to Nigeria.We were still crazy in love with each other just like old times. I decided to be the good girl to Kevin. I was glad my dream was becoming a reality. I quickly broke off my engagement to Emeka to be with my dream man.I was suprised it did not bother Emeka, he was cool with it and never called me.
Two weeks of been with my Kevin I realized I was six weeks pregnant for Emeka. What a tragedy!!! How do I explain this? I was confused and needed someone to talk to. I tried to reach Emeka but could not, I got his address from a friend, so I decided to visit Emeka in his village for the first time only find out he was a married man with four kids...how cruel men could be. So confused right now, I do not want to hurt my sweet Kevin...

 The egg protein contracts when drying out on the skin which tightens the facial skin. The egg white is the best natural remedy to tighten facial skin pores. Things you'll need:
  1. 1 egg
  2. 1 bowl
  3. cotton wool
Steps: 
  1. Break egg into a bowl and remove the egg yolk
  2. Wash face and pat dry.
  3. Use cotton wool to apply egg white on the face
  4. Leave egg white in the face for 15-20 minutes, then wash off
Using egg white mask will tighten your skin and pores leaving skin fresh and young...Give it a try and feel young. Let your face breathe and be happy......

Lost Battle

      Dear readers, yet another interesting story for you ... read on:
"I have always loved my neighbours son Kevin whom I grew up with from childhood. We went to the same primary and secondary school that people even call us husband and wife, we told ourselves we would eventually get married someday. After our WAEC examinations, Kevin told me he would be travelling to the UK for his studies. I could not believe my ears, it was as if my whole world had crumbled. It was a good and sad news at the same time but I was happy for him. "Don't worry Getty, I will come back for you" he consoled me each time I became worried about his travel. Kevin finally travelled leaving me his childhood sweetheart back here in Nigeria. I gained admission too into the university to study microbiology. My communication with Kevin was perfect thanks to social networks, phones. As time went on I became bored an lonely, seeing my friends go out with guys was such an envy to me but I had to be faithful to my sweetheart. I had this girlfriend who wanted me to have fun in school but I had always turned her down "Getty no one will know, get your groove on now. When your sweetheart comes you'd be a good girl then." I had always thought about Felicia's words to me till one day I decided to get my groove on."

Get a Clear, Smooth and Supple face

  These days, people struggle with rough face, these struggles could come to an end  if they follow these simple steps for a smooth, clear and supple face like mine lol
  1. Daily face wash: Daily washing of the face  in the morning and evening helps to maintain a healthy complexion. Avoid scrubbing face too hard, it may cause irritation(the facial skin is different from the body skin).
  2. Use moisturizers: Moisturize face after wash with moisturizers. For oily skin, moisturize face only at night.
  3. Remove makeup at night before bed time. If you cannot wash off makeup, use a makeup wipe to remove makeup, it is reliable.
  4. For acne treatment on your face, any of the following could treat: toner,face mask or pore cleaner, spot remover for blemishes. They help in natural exfoliation of the skin.
  5. Avoid touching your face with dirty hands.
  6. Use fresh makeup and brushes: Makeup and brushes over six months gathers bacteria. Getting rid of them will improve your facial skin. Brushes could be cleaned, not thrown away.
  7. Drink plenty of water: This brings you the miracle of water *winks*. Water enables you flush out toxins and wastes.

Sad and Confused...

  Dear readers, please read this story...

" I am a 32 year old business woman who is married with a son, my husband never wanted me to work so he opened a boutique for me. I had sales girls who did my sales for me so I had all the time in the world for myself. I loved what life brought to me, money and time even though my husband was a little busy. I hung out with my friends who introduced me to a gym somewhere in Rivers state where we resided. Although I had a very nice body even after birth but felt I could have fun... and really it was.
I registered in the gym and started my workout program, as time went on my friends who introduced me there all gave up on working out but I didn't because I had become close to a trainner who told me he would help me keep up my shape. We became so close and started seeing each other. My husband could not suspect me at all because we did everything lovers do in the gym. People never knew but my visit to the gym became more frequent than usual. The relationship continued even after I found out my boyfriend had a fiance, I did not bother cos I was married.I never thought he would bother too till he became so obsessed with me, he started stalking me in town. I became scared cos he was becoming too possessive of another man's wife but I still continued to see him.
He told me he would break his engagement which he did and wanted us to be together but I could not jeopardize my 4 years of marriage for anything. I still loved my husband, he has been good to me. I have refused to accept my boyfriend's proposal and that was when my nightmare started. He threatened to tell my husband about us. I pleaded and even offered to pay him off but he refused. I was home one day when my husband came home with a friend and this friend happened to be my lover. Since then he started visiting my home unanounced and I fear he might tell my husband one day. I have been so confused since then...please readers should I confess to my husband? I regret my actions, am so sad and confused..."

Reasons for your makeup to go off before bedtime

  A woman’s face is one precious asset she has got which makes makeup one important part of her lifestyle. It hides all flaws and enhances beauty but at the same time it could cause harm to that beautiful asset of a woman (her face).
Whether you are using mineral makeup, natural organic or popular brands of makeup, they all have one thing in common. Your makeup has to come off before going to bed.
Reasons:
1.       Let your skin breathe:  Closed pores one of the major causes of skin imperfections. Night time is when the skin repairs itself and sleeping on makeup prevents your skin from repair.
2.       Eye infection: Makeup has a harmful chemical which enters your eyes as you sleep. These chemicals can cause loss of sight and severe infections.
3.       Loss of eyelashes: Our mascara and eyeliners have certain amount of wax in them. The wax tends to melt during the day and sticks to the eyelashes, sleeping on them makes the wax block follicles which results in loss of eyelashes.
4.       Pimples and acne:  Makeup blocks natural flow of skin oil known as sebum which keeps the skin moisturized, flushing out dead cells. When these pores are blocked, dry skin cells tend to stick on the pores resulting to infections like pimples, acne and blackheads.
5.       Removal of free radicals: Makeup absorbs a lot of pollution and dirt during the day. Removal of makeup before going to bed, cleanses the facial skin from all free radicals.

In as much as I love wearing makeup I make sure my makeup goes off before I go to bed. Removal of makeup at night should be followed by a deep nourishing night cream. This will ensure a glowing complexion and a younger fresh skin. Thus prevent your skin from all problems and retain the naturally beautiful skin. Remove all makeup before bedtime…   Endeavor to manage your asset (face) wisely….

Sugar is a general name for a sweet flavored substance. It is used to sweeten foods such as biscuits, chocolates, candy etc. and we all love it. I love sugar too as well as you do but sugar is not healthy, it has been linked to obesity and cause in the occurrence of diabetes, tooth decay, cardiovascular disease, dementia .

We all love sugar, yes!!!  But it could be dangerous…some of us can’t go a day without having a chocolate bar, candy etc. I tell you, you can cure your sugar cravings just like I did.

I would list some sweet healthy fruits that would help when you crave for sugar.
         Pineapples
           Apples
           Bananas
           Oranges
           Mangoes
There are many more fruits that could help, instead of having that sweet food containing lots of sugar, you could have a healthy sweet fruit rich in vitamins. You can use honey in place of sugar in your tea, coffee, oatmeal etc. to reduce the risk of diseases and obesity.
Avoid sugar and stay healthy…

Wearing the Mascara Just Right

|Wearing the mascara is a fashion trend in makeup but not all ladies mascara properly. Some wear the mascara once while others end up staining their eyeshadow with the mascara. Get your dream lashes with these few tips I will give you few tips on how you would wear your mascara making your eyelashes looking longer. 
 Things you'll need:
  1. Eyelash curler  
  2. Mascara
  3. Mascara wand
Steps:
  •  Curl eyelashes with eyelash curler. If you do not have an eyelash curler, you can use a small tiny comb that comes with a mascara wand. Comb from root of eyelashes to the top. 
  or       
  • Use your mascara wand to apply your mascara from the root to the top and allow to dry for 10 seconds.
  • Repeat the application again and leave for 10 seconds.
  • Add another coat of mascara again. For longer looking eyelashes 3-4 coats of mascara works best.
  • Separate eyelashes with lash comb from the root to the top and you are good to go.
Following these simple steps, your eyelashes looks longer and sexier...go on ladies.

The Miracle of water

Losing weight is not going to be easy. Shedding those excess pounds is going to take a serious physical and mental commitment. Learning new strategies will help keep you excited, motivated, and serious about your goals. This article has some great tips to help you get fit and trim.
Trying to lose weight? Make sure you're drinking plenty of water, especially before a meal. Drinking a full glass of water before eating often helps many people eat less. And the next time you're tempted to reach for a snack, make sure you hit the water fountain. Sometimes, when our brain tells us we're hungry, we're really just thirsty.
Use washed, cut lemons in your drinking water. The lemony flavor will make the water taste better and that will encourage you drink more of it. You can cut up lemons and put them directly into a pitcher of ice water in the refrigerator to make drinking water quick and easy.
Weight loss is nearly impossible without water. Many times your body can trigger a hunger response to thirst. If you drink a big glass of water before you eat you will know if you are really hungry or if you are just dehydrated. Keep a drink for yourself on hand at all times.
Hunger is a problem for people trying to lose weight. Next time you are hungry, pause and think: is it true hunger or am I eating for non-food-related reasons? Many times we eat to satisfy emotional needs, or because we're tired, or need comfort. Often, we're just thirsty. Next time you feel hunger pangs, first examine your motives for feeling hungry, and then try drinking a very large glass of cool water. Before you eat again, see if the drink has satisfied your need.
An important part of losing weight is staying hydrated throughout the course of the day. But, sometimes the taste of water gets to be boring. Luckily, there are a variety of products that are low or no calories that you can flavor your water with to help make drinking lots of it much easier! Because it is a fluid, your body naturally form fits into the water so you reduce chances of injury, and you will still be gaining the benefits of stretching out those muscles.
To seriously contribute to your weight loss efforts, drink 16 ounces of water right before a meal. Not only is it just plain healthy to begin with, those two glasses of water will fill you up and no matter how good the meal is you will eat less! It may be easier said than done, especially when you are hungry but it is a great way to really lose weight! Remember to drink several cups per day
