   Cucumber contains many vitamins and minerals. It is regarded as a healthy food because it is low in calories and fats. Cucumber has its benefits to us, keeping us healthy, it is a very good choice for snacking.

Benefits includes:
  1. Skin care: Cucumber has high water content, minerals and vitamins which is very good for the skin. Cucumber is very good for facial skin.
  2. Killing of bad breath: Cucumber kills the bacteria that causes bad breath in the mouth with the help of photochemicals present in it.
  3. Nail care: The splitting of nails on thetoes and hands is prevented with cucumber due to the high content of silica present in it.
  4. For weight loss: Cucumber has low calories very high water content which makes it ideal for weight loss.
  5. Hair growth: Regular in take of cucumber promotes hair growth due to the presence of sulphur and silicon in it.
  6. Digestion: The dietry fibre and water content in cucumber aids digestion and digestive disorders such as heartburn, gastritis. 
Tips: when purchasing cucumber, do not purchase yellow or matured cucumber. Cucumber that is dark green and firm are best for consumption...stay healthy
